Join me for a week of healthy plant based eating. Enjoy 3 delicious and healthy plant based meals daily, combined with Yoga in the morning & a guided meditation in the evening.

During the retreat there will be the possibility to join the cooking chores, if you wish, and there will be daily nutritional talks where you will be taught how to prepare healthy meals and  you will get the latest information on nutrition and health.

In the afternoon there will be the possibility to take some hikes in the nature reserve that surrounds our property or take some time to relax in our salt water pool, hot tub & sauna. You can also pamper yourself with an additional treatment by one of our therapists.

The yoga classes are accessible to all - whether you are a beginner or seasoned yogi, the skilled teachers can guide you through an enriching and relaxing practice that supports your detox. 

Yoga is a fundamental part of our programme because the combination of gentle moving, stretching, and twisting together with deep breathing, significantly helps the detox process for body, mind and spirit. The lymph and blood transporting the released toxins are pumped through the body at a faster rate, speeding up the elimination process. 

The evening workshops can include a Soundbath session and a Agni Hotra fire ceremony alongside more traditional meditation practices. The programme culminates with a beautiful Spiral Walk letting go and visioning ceremony. These sessions further assist the detoxification process, as blockages and tensions held in the physical, mental, and emotional levels of the body are also released.

Moinhos Velhos is located in a tranquil valley 14 km. From Lagos on the South coast of the Algarve, Portugal. Situated in a nature reserve next to a big lake, away from the traditional tourist areas, an ideal place to take some time for yourself on a retreat.

At Moinhos Velhos, you will go to bed with the silence of the stars at night and wake up to the songs of birds in the morning.
